Just Enough

The message was linked with Holy Communion. So Hubby and I decided to have it during our cell group meeting. I borrowed the small cups and grabbed what I felt was enough. It was an odd number. "Would it be enough" I wondered.

At the end of a good time of sharing, we concluded with the breaking of bread and drinking the cup. Bread was chapatti, home made by the host of the house. Lovely unleavened bread! The grape juice we bought was rich and unadulterated. Many commented how nice it tasted. No additives, not even sugar.

The cups.... There were just enough. In fact, they were exactly enough. The Lord knew.
And I felt especially glad that I heard right and got the exact number. Thankful!

Communion

For the past few weeks, I have been attending the Sunday services at a local church which meets in a hotel. Unusual, isn't it. I'll tell you more about it in my later posts.

In the meantime, just for today, here's what we had for our Sunday service. Yes, we had Communion this morning. A simple yet symbolic event which reminds me of the grace and love of the Lord for you and I.

As far as I can recall, this might be the first time that I have had this with this part of the body of Christ.

Somehow, the symbols of bread and wine tasted different. Sweeter? More substantial? I am not fully sure yet.

But one thing certain is that now, for a season, I will be staying with this group of believers to help in whatever way I am able to.

Because we believe this is what I am supposed to do for now.

By the way, Hubby is feeling much better. I am fighting the bug fairly well I reckon!
