Colourful Contribution

It was one of those last-minute things. Rush to get ready. But the ideas hadn't crystalized yet. Not until the eleventh hour, as oft the best ideas are.

Well, at least I was asked.

So when the idea came, it had to be pulled together quickly.

Since it was on the Easter theme, and it involved having fun and games, somehow, somewhere, the thought came - an egg hunt. With a difference of course.

Most of the eggs would be chocolates, in the shape of eggs. Covered with aluminium foil. You scored points for the different colours.

Then there had to be bonus prizes. Hence the real eggs. Also covered with foil of course. But before that, they had to be coloured too.
Voila. My other contribution to the evening's proceedings.

Oh, did I mention that it was entirely for the young people? They met in our house. We (Hubby and I) just left them to it.

I am glad to report that they had fun. Lives were touched. The Word and Good News was shared!

Lessons from the Easter Decor

This was some of the decor on Easter Sunday. Nice? I like it.
Beginning with the red of the chairs, I am reminded of the blood of Christ shed for me.

The gold on the walls going up reminds me that despite Him being a king, He didn't count it as lowly to become one of us. No, rather, He cared for us enough to give up His kingship.

In order that we might be made righteous again - the white. That simple but glorious reminder.

He lived, died and rose again. That gives us hope. That gives us meaning to life.

He is the reason
for us
to do what we do,
and be who we are.

Easter vs Christmas

I am convinced that Christmas being celebrated with such hype is a ploy of the enemy to draw attention away from the more important event - the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Easter is the time to remember the reason for our very existence.

Indeed, He came to die that we might live.

But also, He rose again that we might have new life!

Easter brings....
May you have a great Easter sharing the Good News with many.
