There is something about butterflies that are special for me. 

They can change direction so quickly.

They seem to fly effortlessly.

They are beautiful to behold.

They often bring joy.

They are also supposed to be my signature - special for me. So when I see one, I somehow feel somewhat strengthened for the day.

Being Fit

I set it my heart and mind that despite not being fit, I would attempt to complete at 7K Charity Sunset Run. Not that I would run. But at least complete as close to the 77minutes target as possible.

This event was held yesterday. In aid of thalassaemia (see this for more information) it was the first time I had ever tried this.

This is the scene more than half way round the course.
I have to confess to being glad that I was not too far behind the bulk of finishers even though I had started right at the back! Even though I was just outside the 77minute mark by their timing, by my own reckoning, I might have just made it. Next time (did I say "Next time?") I will be more prepared!

At the end of the day, I must say I felt good to have completed it in the manner that I did. I was concerned that my health was not good enough.

But at the back of my mind has been this phrase, "You must be fit for revival" and I expect revival to come soon. First the spiritual, then the physical..... I consider this a prophetic act of sorts!

To be an Octopus

Received this in an email.
I promise you I didn't.

Although at one point, I did have a shofar in one hand and the tambourine going in another - that's a first for me!

At another point, I thought about how it would be if I were an octopus worshipping God.

Such then was the anointing this morning.

Hearing Right

For days on and off Hubby and I had been thinking through when was a good time to bring my parents over for a visit. The time span moved from Christmas to new year to after Chinese New Year ... you get the picture. The price of the air tickets kept escalating too. It was rather distressing to keep changing because we couldnt decide.

Then today, I suddenly felt the need to make a decision - for Christmas!

But the house internet was down.

So we decided to take a short trip to the coffeeshop nearby, ordered some snacks and logged on.

To my absolute delight, there were cheap fares!

Not only that, they were for a better airline!

So a quick call to the pater and mater and voila! All done!

Which leads me to my posting now, still at the coffeeshop - I am so glad that I obeyed what the Lord dropped into me.

Thank You LORD!

September 16th

It was Malaysia Day - the day the Malaysia was officially formed. Culminating three days of intensive prayer with national Christian leaders, following forty days of prayer and fasting held nationwide, we celebrated.

Youths paraded, danced, played flags and pompoms... did prophetic acts... and much more.
The crowd was not overwhelming, but good nonetheless.
I took part playing the shofar. My daughter was playing the flags. More in The Hinge.

A Well or a Whale

Today I was part of a triplet to pray for one another.

One lady prayed for me.

I nodded my head as she went on a well with lots of water. I was happy when she said she saw the water overflowing, even shooting up, spilling over.

"Deep," she said.

"Nice," I thought.

The other lady kept enthusiastically agreeing in prayer.

Wow.

Then at the end, as we chatted, it suddenly dawned on the third lady that she was nodding her head to the word WHALE... and the other was praying about the word WELL....

So what does one do with a situation like this? I have never encountered this before~

Preach It

We had intentional discipleship training again.

Part of the training includes personal time where we seek the Scriptures individually and then share later in our small group.

This time, we were given specific instructions on the way in which we should approach the Word of God.

As I did so in obedience, I was struck by the content - so close to what God had placed on my heart to share tonight! What's more, the context of the verse goes on to say "Preach the Word" That phrase seemed to leap out at me!

So tonight I will PREACH IT. Please pray for and with me? This message seems to be vastly different from the rest....

Another Sighting

Honestly this is strange.

Today I came home and saw ANOTHER caterpillar. It's not the same one. It's bigger by half and a different colour.
I am getting more intrigued about this Saturday, praying that I will be spot on with what the Lord wants me to do.

Metamorphosis

I am preaching this weekend at a youth meeting. The word the Lord gave me was metamorphosis. I have not much of an idea how the meeting will go. But I do believe I have heard the Lord right.

This is what I saw yesterday -A most apt illustration for the talk.
