True humility frees us from preoccupation with ourselves, whereas a low self-opinion tends to focus our attention on ourselves. Humility is truth in self-understanding and truth in action. A humble person makes a realistic assessment of himself without illusion or pretense to be something he is not. He regards himself neither smaller nor larger than he truly is. A humble person does not have to wear a mask or put on a facade in order to look good to others who do not know who really is.
I dont know who wrote this, but it's good fodder for the soul

A Blurr
This week has been a blurr because I have been busy.
But then I am also reminded of the B-U-S-Y acronym.
Do you know that one?
So starting tonight I have my Sabbath.
But then I am also reminded of the B-U-S-Y acronym.
Do you know that one?
B = Being
U = Under
S = Satan's
Y = Yoke
U = Under
S = Satan's
Y = Yoke
So starting tonight I have my Sabbath.

"I'll Teach You to Steal, Drink, Lie Swear," says Pastor

I shall never forget my pastor taking me aside just after I had been converted and saying, “I am going to teach you to steal, to drink, to lie, and to swear.”

Sensing my astonishment, he quickly went on to add, “I want to teach you how to steal time out of every day to read something the book of Proverbs. And then I want to teach you how to drink from its clear, refreshing water, to lie on your bed at night and meditate on its great themes and to swear that by the grace of God you will put into practice its wonderful teaching.”
The above was attributed to Selwyn Hughes.
By the way, folks, I have added a chatbox on my left bar. Feel free to post there too. Blessings!
