The preacher had spoke of how Jesus responded in adversity. (Mark 6) Jesus had heard how the enemy had hit his family - John the Baptist was beheaded. How did he react? He pressed on. He pushed on. And so, said the preacher, must we learn from that, going on to share his own experience and how we needed to be strong in our faith.
It was a simple message, but a good one.
And most timely.
A short while after, I had a problem. I can't go into details here. But I had a problem. I felt like crying. Some tears did appear. I felt I had failed.
As I sat at the desk, I decided I could either wallow in self-pity or choose to apply what I had just heard in the message.
So I press on.
I just had to blog a little about it, that's all :)
